Oded is an acknowledged authority in the fields of Software Engineering, Internet Security, and the author of the first original book published in Israel on the topic of the Internet (1994).
Oded has over 22 years of software development as well as business and management experience in the high-tech industry. Formerly the president and technical team leader of M.O.Tek, an Israeli R&D company, funded by the Israeli government, which developed leading-edge biometric voice verification software for access control purposes (in use today by the Israeli police intelligence). Oded also founded Netspell Inc., a Canadian company providing specialized IT and Internet services. Netspell has been contracted by the Israeli Aircraft Industries to maintain the organization's private high-security WAN (Wide Area Network); it is the first such contract ever to be awarded to a non-Israeli company.
Oded has also been invited on a regular basis by the Israeli Aircraft Industries, and other organizations, to deliver courses in Advanced Programming to groups of expert programmers and computer-engineers. |

In 1999-2004 Oded has co-founded Now International Inc., a company with over 40 angel investors and shareholders with offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Barbados. For 5 years Oded served as the President and CEO of the company as well as a director of Technology. and led a team of 25 computer engineers, graphic designers and educators in development of a unique online learning software product. This software tool allows for online delivery of asynchronous (pre-recorded) environments that integrate several media streams into a unified multimedia-rich presentation. This product created a new standard for the delivery of learning content online.

The defence included writing small software utilities that blocks attacks as they happen and/or render the mail server temporarily invisible to the attacker. |

Set up an automatic backup procedure on an embedded Linux server in a small office network, in combination with VirtualBox clients on Linux workstations. |
